Recognition for ProjectVision's User Interface

May 30th 2008

Usability experts from the University of Ulster have reviewed the new user interface for the forthcoming ProjectVision 5.0 and have been significantly impressed with its design and functionality.

Cora Systems invited the School of Computing and Mathematics, University of Ulster, to assist with the redesign and evaluation of the ProjectVision user interface. Dr Ian McChesney and Terry Anderson, Professor of Interactive Computing, led a usability workshop during which we together worked through a heuristic evaluation and brainstorming session for the new ProjectVision 5.0 screen designs.

Dr McChesney commented "Based on the outcomes of this workshop, and using the latest technologies for implementing Rich Internet Applications, the Cora Systems team have developed a sophisticated front end for working with textual and graphical project data which incorporates such features as drag & drop and context sensitive menus. The significant achievement is the state of the art Rich Internet Application in which these desktop features are delivered 'in the browser'."

James Woodward, Product and Marketing Manager for Cora Systems added, "Combining the expertise of the University of Ulster with the highly skilled development team here at Cora Systems, we have developed what we believe to be a class leading interface for web-based Project, Programme and Performance Management applications."
