Cora Systems are delighted to announce the launch of a new interactive website for the Northern Ireland Executive.

The Investment Strategy for Northern Ireland 2008-2018 (ISNI) sets out the framework with which Northern Ireland will create a sustainable 21st century infrastructure. It identifies priority areas for investment in the years ahead and is intended to assist government and private sector partners to plan ahead for the challenge of delivering the largest ever investment programme in Northern Ireland.

The Strategic Investment Board provide strategic advice to Ministers on the development and roll out of ISNI and have implemented Cora System’s web-based Project and Programme Management System, ProiectVision. This will enable them to track the progress of each Northern Ireland Government department with responsibility for delivering a capital programme.

Cora Systems also developed a public front end website that allows residents of Northern Ireland to find out up to date information including latest news and photos on projects happening near them. Contractors can also view details of procurement taking place and their current status.

GIS technology using Microsoft’s Bing Maps and ESRI ArcGIS allows projects and contracts to be viewed on an interactive map whilst My ISNI allows users to subscribe and receive regular updates on projects and reports.

Cora Systems also worked with ISNI to provide two way communication with citizens using social media including Twitter, Flickr and the provision of a blog.
